Free Food for Seniors in Benton County
The Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Bill. This program, based on household size and income, will provide a 30-35 pound box of food every month to seniors aged 60 years and older who qualify.
CARE is proud to be the Benton County distribution center for this program. Once registered, seniors can pick up their monthly box of food on the second Monday of every month from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the CARE office, located at 3210 6th Avenue in Foley. Seniors may also choose to call the CARE office in advance, to arrange for delivery on that day.
To register, contact Second Harvest Heartland at 1-800-365-0270 and provide your name, date of birth, and monthly gross income. It is that easy!
There is an abundance of food available, so spread the word; who do you know that would benefit from this program?
Fresh Produce Program
The CARE program works in collaboration with Second Harvest Heartland and local farmers to provide free fresh produce and baked goods from July thru October. Food distribution is held on the 2nd Monday of each month at the CARE office from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Free fresh produce is available for participants of all ages with no preregistration or income guidelines.
