Pork Chop Dinner & Silent Auction
Foley Area C.A.R.E. is so grateful for the wonderful community support that was demonstrated by a large number of people that attended the pork chop dinner and silent auction held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. All of the 375 pork chops that had been ordered were consumed as well as the 400 Texas Road House buns and cinnamon butter. Our many pie bakers helped us shine at this event. All of our pies were enjoyed which is a testament to the quality of the pies and dedication of our volunteers.
We want to thank all of the volunteers and donors that made this event possible. You did an incredible job! We would also like to thank Henry’s Catering and Banquet Center, Neighborhood Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, Coborn’s of Foley, Texas Road House, Famous Dave’s, Kalton Communications, McDonald’s of Foley, Falcon Bank, Foley High School National Honor Society Members, and Ambassadors from the Foley Ambassador Program.
The grill and propane that is donated and delivered each year by Joe and Debbie Blank is a wonderful tool to get this big job done. Our two young volunteers, Sophia and Jack Abfalter donated two $25.00 gift cards to our pre-sale dinner tickets. Their generosity showed everyone that it doesn’t matter what age you are, you are still valuable to our organization and community. We are overjoyed at the outpouring of support that this community continues to give to the senior citizens in our area. Thank you!
