Free Food, All Year ‘Round, For Seniors in Benton County

The Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Bill. This program, based on household size and income, will provide a 30-35 pound box of food every month to seniors aged 60 years and older who qualify:

    • Canned fruits packed in juice or light syrup; Canned vegetables with low sodium; Bottled 100% juice
    • Nonfat dry and shelf stable low fat milk, low fat American cheese
    • Canned meat like chicken, beef stew, chili or tuna, and peanut butter or dry beans
    • Cereal & rice or pasta

Foley Area C.A.R.E. is proud to be the Benton County distribution center for this program. Seniors who are registered can pick up their monthly box of food on the second Monday of every month from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the C.A.R.E. office, located at 321 6th Avenue in Foley. Seniors may also choose to call the C.A.R.E. office in advance to arrange for delivery on that day.

While registration is required, the process is very easy and takes very little time. Seniors will be asked to provide full name, date of birth, and monthly gross income.
