Maxine Olson Retires from Board of Directors

The Program Staff and Board of Directors would like to thank Maxine Olson for her dedication and commitment. After fourteen years of service, Maxine has decided to retire from the Board of Directors. Maxine has been involved with the program from inception in 2002. She was instrumental in C.A.R.E’s expansion. She has been a member of both the Outreach and Communication Committees where she devoted her time and talents to write articles, conduct presentations, recruit volunteers, and locate and write grants. She attended board training at the Initiative Foundation and was active in board member training and strategic planning.

Executive Director, Connie Cardinal, stated Maxine’s compassion and support will truly be missed. She brought a lot of fun to the program. She never asked anyone to do anything that she was not willing to do herself. Maxine was well known for her zeal when arranging the volunteer appreciation dinner each year. She was able to get other board members to dress in costumes and get out of their comfort zone. She fully recognized the value volunteers brought to the C.A.R.E. program. We all wish Maxine the best in her retirement from the Board of Directors. Maxine is not totally retiring from the C.A.R.E. program; she will continue to support our community by driving seniors to much-needed appointments. Hats off to you Maxine!
